teacher knowledge or life?
Pennac writes a book about the school, but different. Speaks to the point of view of those who go wrong, those who despite the passing years are still the "donkey" on duty. Write a pain that is never discussed: the pain of when you can not figure things out.
The author does not speak from hearsay, but as a direct question, like "ex-ass" who lived like a nightmare school years until the arrival of four professors who, perhaps unwittingly, they've changed my life.
Now he is to change the lives of many children and teenagers, in which he recognizes himself years ago, with subtle questions, ironies, games and humanity. The first thing he does is try to heal her students from the fear and then with a curious look for new ways to get them to love even grammar and mathematics.
not work miracles by bringing all the 10, but manages to create serenity in an environment where he does not count for the level of the class, but the individual level, the person.
Perhaps it is his personal experience to enable him to be what it is today, to understand how children think, what their fears and their dreams, guiding them toward what will become, and then be surprised by meeting years and years after the street and "seeing to every meeting that a life has blossomed, as unpredictable as the shape of a cloud."
too accustomed to being told that would not have anything done in life, do the opposite transmit passion and knowledge, and avoiding all those professors of catchphrases such as "By vote of the general thing you can hope for?", "How many likely to be promoted think you have? "or" The diploma will not ever have if you continue like that! ".
As it was the transition from a donkey and a professor at almost illiterate novelist can not understand, but through events in his life anyone can imagine what preferisce:un caso, uno scherzo del destino o un miracolo.
E’ bastata.
Altri episodi della vita di Pennac si susseguono fra le pagine del libro, anche senza una sequenza temporale: gli anni più brutti della sua carriera scolastica followed by the meeting with a French teacher who, perhaps impressed by the imagination of its justifications, the narrator who was discovered in his general discharge of its duty to commission a book and even sparking in him a love of reading.
The meeting, now professor, Nathalie, who found the child in elementary school and sobbing out, between a tear and the other, he confided the reason for so much pain: "I can not understand the sentence-subject concession-introduced-by-connection. " Pennac managed to hold back the laughter and back in class in less than five minutes the problem had been resolved and now that Natalie is 37 years old is probably not pensa più alle subordinate a meno che non abbia una figlia di 12 anni che le somiglia molto.
People who grow up to become doctors, astronauts, magicians, writers and other teachers and that will not soon forget an extraordinary person in their path.
