Sting's interest in the orchestral collaboration began in 2008, following an invitation to perform with the legendary Chicago Symphony Orchestra. After some reworked songs from his vast repertoire, Sting has performed with the orchestra in a performance that left an indelible mark. Ready to explore possible new collaborations symphony, Sting proved to be absolutely thrilled when the Philadelphia Orchestra has asked him to join them in a performance to commemorate the anniversary 153esimo Academy of Music.
"The performances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra both have represented important moments of my career. I am very happy with this new opportunity to tour with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will be like having a new bar of musical colors to work with and then re-invent the songs that represented my live concerts for over thirty years " said Sting.
The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra has accompanied many international artists, including famous names in classical music as Andrea Bocelli, Bryn Terfel, Renée Fleming, Kiri Te Kanawa and the late Luciano Pavarotti, as well as pop culture icons such as Burt Bacharach, George Benson, Michel Legrand, Diana Krall, Tina Turner and Randy Newman.
